Finding new boards and communities to share the love of music is great. Because of MySpace I have discovered lots of new Great talent such as Judd Starr. I also use it to keep up with all Taylor Hicks news or to just talk to friends. I have found another community that will be great to use to talk about things music related or anything else we choose. I was looking on myspace for an undiscovered talent that I wanted to feature. I found Drew Poppelreiter. Drew is a down home country boy from Saltillo, Mississippi. I love Drew’s voice and if he keeps after his dream I am sure he will get that break into the country music scene. Drew was on American Idol this year. Interview with Sawyer Brown Lead Singer Mark Miller

Before American Idol there was Star Search. Star Search was a television show that aired from 1983 until 1995; the show was hosted by Ed McMann. In 1983 introduced the world to Sawyer Brown a country/rock group that won the show. Sawyer Brown consisted of five members Bobby Randall on guitar, Joe Smyth on drums, Jim Scholten on bass guitar, Gregg "Hobie" Hubbard on keyboard, and lead singer Mark Miller. The group is still intact all these years later except now Shayne Hill is on guitar instead of Bobby Randall.

The band still tours and is currently recording a new album. Mark Miller is now also a producer. Among other artists Mark is now Bucky Covington's producer, Bucky was a season five contestant on American Idol. Today I had the pleasure of speaking with Mark Miller about Sawyer's Brown music career, future album and Bucky Covington.
Sawyer Brown has had a long and prosperous career in the music world. It all started on a Television Show, Star Search. Can you go back to that time and describe the feeling the night Sawyer Brown won?

Mark: Oh Wow, you know I guess it was pretty surreal. It was out of my competitiveness, I grew up playing ball, so anytime I was in any kind of game I gave it my all, and that's how I treated that competition as well. I remember when Ed McMann read our name off I just was extremely ecstatic and kind of couldn't believe it. We had been out there for five and a half months, it was finally over and we had won. I don't think thoughts were really racing through my head of what was the future going to bring, it was just the excitement of the moment.

Even after winning which was in 1984, it's been what 24 years since you got that first break, did you ever think in your wildest dreams that Sawyer Brown would become the music sensation that you have and still be so widely known and loved over 24 years later?

Mark: No you know what, I remember thinking we are going to get to make a record. Even though Star Search didn't have a recording contract attached to it, we had already started getting offers from record companies and really when you make your first record that's really all you think about is I get to make a record. I guess I've never, ever thought this far down the line.

Interview with Trace Adkins

Some of Trace Adkins more popular songs are, Every Light in the House, (This ain't) No Thinking Thing, Arlington, Honky Tonk Badonkadonk, and Swing among many others. Trace has been very busy and has more coming his way. He recently released "American Man, Greatest Hits Volume II", wrote a book and is on Celebrity Apprentice, and his 2008 tour starts January 24th. Here is my interview with country music superstar, Trace Adkins.

December 4th you released another CD, "American Man, Greatest Hits Volume II", "You're Gonna Miss This," is one of three new songs included on the album. It is already another Top 30 hit, how does it feel knowing you are still making hits, in the fickle music world that the fans still love?

Trace - Well, that's great, you just never know. You hope for the best and prepare yourself for the worst.

Which song on the album is your favorite?

Trace - Oh my goodness that would be hard, I try not to pick favorites. It's like picking a favorite kid, I can't do that.

Interview With Luke Bryan

Luke Bryan is a country music singer/songwriter, he made his debut in 2007 with the song "All my Friends Say" off his album titled "I'll Stay Me". Luke was born and raised in Leesburg, Georgia. Before his CD debut, Luke Bryan moved to Nashville in 2001 and got a deal as a songwriter. Luke co-wrote "Good Directions" which spent three weeks at #1 on Billboards U.S hot country songs charts in 2007 for country singer Billy Currington. Luke is having great success in country music and I was lucky enough to land a interview with this country artist, who has already achieved so much and has many great things ahead of him.

Luke was just a few minutes late in calling and he explained to me why.

Luke - I'm in my home town and I was where everyone picks up their hunting supplies and I walked in and the local radio station by coincidence was doing a live remote at this little place, so it turned into me going on air and signing all kinds of stuff so it kind of turned into being on the spot.

So you had a busy morning start off right away.

Luke - Yes Ma'am, but you know that's all a part of it. But at least they want to talk to me it could be the other way.
