Musicals have become classics and the soundtracks from these great movies stay just as popular and timeless as they were when the movie came out. I have three favorite musical movies and I would like to share some of my favorite songs from these movies. Footloose, Grease and Hairspray.

I am a huge Taylor Hicks fans. Taylor played Teen Angel this past summer on Broadway and now is starring in the National Tour of Grease below is Taylor’s version of Beauty School dropout.

Taylor Hicks on Mix 97.1

Taylor Hicks is touring with the Broadway production of Grease. He is playing Teen Angel. Right now Taylor is in Columbus Ohio at the Palace Theater. The last performance is Sunday Dec, 21 at 6:30 p.m. The other day Taylor was on the radio with Mix 97.1 The video of the interview is below.

Grease Tour Starring Taylor Hicks Starts Today

On Live Mic I love to focus on the artists that thrive on the “Live” experience of entertaining a crowd. One such artist is Taylor Hicks. If you have not seen Taylor Hicks live and in person than you have not seen the real Taylor Hicks. Taylor loves performing in front of the audience he feeds off the energy supplied by the audience and they thrive off of him. It is win-win.

Taylor is not doing a concert tour at the moment however the national tour of the fifties-themed musical Grease, which Taylor Hicks starred in as “Teen Angel” this past summer in the Broadway production at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, launches today at the Providence Performing Arts Center in Providence, RI.

I have yet to see Taylor in the Teen Angel role, however those who saw Grease this past summer give Taylor as Teen Angel and the entire show a complete thumbs up. Taylor Hicks has took the role of Teen Angel and made it his own. The tour will stop near me Dec.16th- the 21st and I can’t wait to see it. It is Christmas and finding that perfect gift can be a hard one. Take someone to see Grease I am sure they will love it. Men take that special lady to see Taylor Hicks in Grease and you might just get to see her in that sexy lingerie that you bought.

Concerts

Today I want to talk about the Live concert experience. I love to go a concert. If it is an outdoor concert it is even better. I especially love to go see country music artists in concert. These are usually outdoors at fairs, festivals and such. I am planning to see Bucky Covington and Luke Bryan in concert in October and in December I will be traveling to see Taylor Hicks in Grease as Teen Angel at the Palace Theater. Guess I better check into getting travel insurance because I am going out of state to see Bucky and Luke and a few hours trip away to see Taylor.
